I bought a new 2009 RS in April.( Dealer had two left in stock.) When I drove it home I noticed a kind of "moaning" sound when I slowed down from about 20 MPH off and on. When I took it in to the dealer for the first service I mentioned it to them.
They adjusted the belt tension and alignment and said that they all do make some sounds. :pondder:??? It still makes the same sounds at the speeds mentioned but I can't hear if it happens at other times.
Has anyone else had the same experience and is it normal ????

Possibly just your brakes pads.

Thanks for your thoughts on this issue. Do you know of any way to correct it or is it not anything to worry about ?

If it is the brake pads, it is not anything to worry about. You may be able to get the noise to go away by "bedding" your brakes. Find a nice clear stretch of road; accelerate to 40 to 45 mph or more and stomp on the brakes. Do this three times.
If the noise does not go away it is either, not the brake pads, or it needs other more in depth measures to cure. The first generation brake pads were awful about making noise. It was such a problem that BRP is now on it's third generation of brake pads for the Spyder. It was a hot forum topic for a long time and a search will get you lots of info on what others have done to stop the brake noise. The brake noise was partly because of design and partly because dealers were not always cleaning off the preservation compounds placed on the discs prior to shipment.
