Was it covered by the warranty? My belt is making a sort of rattling sound. I'm not riding it and will check it tonight. I heard the rattling (like a knocking sound) and thought something was loose. Only makes the sound (or I can only hear it) when decelerating or when the clutch is disengaged. But I noticed the sound when I pushed it into the garage after washing some mud off it. That's when I traced the knocking sound to the drive belt at the front, at the engine. (Not mechanically minded, so bear with me). Anyway, I just hope it's covered by warranty. And if not covered, then hopefully it's inexpensive to buy and install. At least it hasn't broken. I'm thinking it might be something where the belt is connected rather than the belt itself. The transmission sort of slipped the other day. Hasn't done it again, but I wonder.

I'd say take it to your dealer a.s.a.p. to have the belt's tension checked. Consider Captain Jim's tensioner for your wishlist.
