Hello,

At our weekly get together this evening, a few of us 2010 RT-S owners noticed that there is some electrical item in the front left side storage area down about 8 inches or so.

After looking at it, it looks like some type of photocell.

Does anyone know what this is and what it is used for?

Very Much Appreciated

Marc Schlesinger

Check with your dealer. There is supposed to be a light in the front cargo compartment but it was left out of most of the 2010s that were shipped. Your dealer can get it and install it under warranty. The light was not there in my 2010 RT-S (PE #0779) but it is there in my 2011 RT Limited.

How about the light sensor for the LCD console display? It changes he display from white (day) to blue (night). I've been wondering where that sensor is for some time..

Look just above the multi-function display and you will see a "BRP" logo. The light sensor is in that logo. :)

If you are talking about the right side as you sit on the bike, I know on 2333 that is the ambient air temperature sensor.
