Everyone, I need help in determining which risers to buy? I would like feedback if you can on which ones are the best. I have had the new DPS unit installed, but would like to sit in an upright position rather than bent over. Thanks, DCR

I have the Heli Bars and they are great for me. No more leaning forward and cramping my hands. I can ride 10-12 hours and not have sore hands. I chose the Heli's because I didn't want to get into cutting the original bars. What ever you choose will make a big difference in comfort.

I purchased and had installed the 4.5" Street Magic Easy Risers. They look great and natural. I sit upright comfortably. I purchased the risers from www.customdynamics.com. Their web site and installation instructions indicate the risers will not work with the factory installed 1" riser. However, this was not the case with my installation. There was plenty of cable slack. I still have enough slack remaining to further adjust the grips. The Easy Risers were only $129.95, plus shipping. My dealer completed the installation and that cost me $255.00.

IMO, the Heli-Bars is the way to go. They do very well to bring the handlebars UP and BACK and are a relatively easy install.

Most importantly of all, the other options involve CUTTING your handlebars which can't be "undone." If you change your mind with the Heli-Bars, you can always just take it off. :)

This is a good deal and a good product. It is highly adjustable. I have the ESI risers which I really like but I got them before the Kewl Metal ones were available. It would be a hard choice if I had to do it again now.

Considering the low cost of replacing the handle bars after I cut them I'm down to 2 different risers. Helis are just way too expensive, and so are the adjustable ones.

The $240 set or the $130 set. I'm just not seeing $110 of added value to the one set. Can any here say that they have the lower cost set, and if they have cuased any problems? Who makes them.

I can add a little bit to that ^^^

The more expensive set it actually the set I would encourage folks to get. Simple reason. Having one bolt on either side as the tightening mechanism is superior. We used to race. You will NEVER ever ever ever see the thinner unit (Material) like the second one above with the single bolt.

Aluminum stretches easily. It is a weaker material but used for the weight advantage.

I am only mentioning the above for one reason. We never know when we will need the strength of those units in an emergency situation. The last thing I want is my strength with the handle bar leverage snapping/slipping/rotating that thinner unit, when I need it the most to save a life or prevent harm.
God is first. Everything else is the blessings received...

I agree, but is there really added material in that riser? A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and if you look at how the new stubby bars mount you will see what looks like less material than the other one with only "1" screw holding it on.
