My RT has been at the dealer's for 2 weeks waiting on the unit. Turned out that the one they received was for a GS/RS. I've a call into BRP asking why it's taking so long. They were supposed to get back to me by today. This is not good... summer is too short in this part of the world to be futzing around for a recalled part.
Ryde far,
Rod.

Unless you had a steering problem, I would be riding while waiting for the part. I never had a steering issue and rode my GS right up to the day I took it in for a 2 hour update. I had put my name on a list for the update 6 weeks before it was done.

I know. I have over 7,500 km on the RT and 10,000 km on the GS and have had no issues. But my dealer is 140 km (90 miles) away. I did go up with a trailer to get my GS that did get the recall work done and was ready to bring the RT home too but it was already opened up for the work -- seems that the part that went into the GS was marked wrong and they thought it was for the RT, which is why they'd gotten it ready for the work.

The GS is sold now, so I'm Spyderless in Saskatoon.

Pierre from BRP called back today to say it was shipping tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have it back for the July 1 Canada Day long weekend.
Ryde far,
Rod.

Picked up the RT today after over 2 weeks waiting on the part from BRP.
Only did 135 km (75 mi) but everything seems just fine. Finally...

My dealer tells me after 2 months BRP hasn't sent him the parts.

At least one of three things is happening.

1. BRP doesn't care about the safety of the customers.
2. My dealer is not telling me the truth
3. The recall is being completely mismanaged.

Right now, I'm voting for 2 and 3.

BTW my dealer is Stller Motorsports in Kittanning, PA.

My RT is showing signs of notching and is hard to steer. I told the dealer and he more or less shrugged and said sorry.

I agree with you!! BPR is the worst company to deal with. I only have 900 mile on mine and plan on getting rid of it and go back to a Gold wing or Full dress Harley. I will never buy anything from BRP again
