My new comfort seat arrived and the first line in the instructions is how it has to be installed by a "BRP technician". Granted I am not a mechanic and my tools are very basic (seems I have to buy a torque wrench) but has anyone changed a seat with any great difficulty? The instructions come with pictures and are understandable. (BTW - I am riding a 2008 RS).

Any thoughts, recommendations?

It's been a year since I did mine, but the install is straightforward and if you don't have a tendency to strip bolts, I wouldn't worry about a torque wrench. The fiddly bit is getting the hinge of the seat put together. Don't forget to reconnect the seat sensor. Good luck.

It's not difficult. I would just have at it.

Thanks for the replies, sorry got back to ya so late - just went ahead and did it, no problems putting it on, pretty straight forward. Just got back from a San Diego>Lake Tahoe>San Francisco>Big Sur>San Diego ride and couldn't have done it with my old seat.
