Are you ready for Spyders in the Smokies 2010?
What started as 50 SpyderTalk.com members coming together for SITS2008 has grown to over 250 participants this year! Because of our rapid growth, we have had to make some changes for 2010. We will have “destination rides” where we encourage you to hook up with small groups of fellow Spyder riders to ride together to our Thursday and Friday destinations. We have attached maps and addresses that you can input into your GPS and everyone can meet up at the ride destination at the times indicated. We have also outgrown having our Friday SITS dinner in one location, so we have worked out a couple options for the Friday night get-together that are outlined below.
Our Saturday BBQ and Awards Ceremony will be bigger and better than ever…starting with a Spyder Cruise-In on Saturday morning and a huge group picture. We will then have some of the best Southern BBQ the region has to offer before handing out thousands of dollars worth of prizes at our Awards Ceremony.
Rally Schedule
Wednesday, Sept 22 – Meet-N-Greet at Smokey’s Pub & Grub (1151 Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN – traffic light #10) 1pm – 9pm, pick up Welcome Bags and meet fellow Spyder Ryders.
Thursday, Sept 23 – Tail of the Dragon and Alcoa Good Times Ride – Ride from Gatlinburg on Scenic Rt 73 over to the Tail of the Dragon, spend some time at Deals Gap, before heading back up the Dragon to Alcoa Good Times Spyder Dealership. Alcoa Good Times will be hosting a free buffet lunch at 1pm and they will be offering great SITS Rally discounts on Spyder parts and accessories all week. You won't find better pricing on Spyder goodies! You can also call Alcoa Good Times to set up any service you may want for your Spyder, including DPS Recall, at 865-981-4444 or email parts@alcoagoodtimes.com.
Map for Thursday's ride and addresses for your GPS can be found here --> http://www.spydertal...times-ride-map/

Marc,
Thank you for all the work you have put into SITS 2010. Is there going to be ride cards with preplanned routes for small group rides? If so could those be posted online or emailed so we could have them prior to the official start of the rally. We will be arriving in Gatlinburg on the 18th. Thanks again.

We have partnered with our friends at Smoky's for the use of their great biker maps. We will not be printing these, so please check them out on-line and print the rides you would like to take in your spare time.

The Red Roof Inn is sold out with Spyder ryders, so it will be a good spot. I would stop in there and also at Smoky's...just down the hill from RR Inn. You will see lots of Spyders around town. There is no "official" Rally rides on Tuesday, but you can check out the ride maps that are link above. I would also recommend spending the day riding in the National Park...it's great to see on a Spyder.
