Just joined the from but I have had my Spyder since November 2007.
I was one of the first deliveries Premeire Edition #376
Anyways I have been thinking about starting a rental company specifically for Spyders in the Southern California Market.
I've seen some rental rates and wanted to get some feedback on what you all would be willing to rent a Spyder for.
I'm looking for daily, weekend, three day and week long rates.
Any help would be appreciated.
I have access to another new Spyder and was thinking of purchasing another one.
Thank You,

You might try and do a google search for spyder rentals as I believe there is already a company in Cal renting them....

There was a guy who did this in the Bay area a few years ago. I don't know if he's still in business or not. I'll try to come up with a name.

I would talk with Castaic Powersports, as they rent out their demo Rt for like $250 a day and see if that has worked for them.

EagleRider in San Bernadino rents Spyders for $165/day with unlimited miles... reasonable rate. However, it would be fantastic if there were more Spyder rentals in the region.

We rented an RT from the dealer in San Bernadino (Chaparrel Powersports)) last April. We already had taken possession of our own RT-S but it was still winter up here in Canada so while we were in Indio California we decided to rent one for a couple of days. We didn't get a lot of use out of it but it was nice to get some miles on one. We were the first to ride that rental too. The rates in San Bernadino were way cheaper for all models than in Palm Springs where they have a huge Concession Fee about $37.00 per day. Our rental include free helmet rental and no mileage charge. If you are comparable to other rental outlets for similar (two wheel) models you should get your share. I would think you need exposure in airports and at travel agencies so people know that your service is available. The one cost that was prohibitive was the delivery charge, we elected to pick ours up even though it was at least an hour drive from where we were staying. We might have elected to land at L.A or someplace if a Spyder could have been rented at the Airport, instead of flying directly to Palm Springs and renting there where the cost was so high. On another note my sister and her husband travel to the S.W. every year and our planning on buying an RT next spring. They are buying a Toy Hauler fifth wheel and will be hauling their Concours. If you get set up let me know and I will see if they are interested in renting a Spyder at some time on their trip this winter. I expect they would only be interested in renting an RT though.
