I bought my bike brand new 5 months ago. I am a newby when it comes to bikes. Just before my first check up I noticed my parking break was not holding my bike. I could put it down and bike would still move?? I brought in they fixed said the belt sometime stretchs??

after two week of it holding tight if came lose again??

they cam picked up my bike this time. fixed again but after 1 week of riding it will not hold bike again?? Clearly there is an issue!!

does any one have any sudgestions on what my next plan should be? Any one ever deal with any issues?

You don't have an isolated problem, this is typical to the footbrake models, the cable stretches and needs to be adjusted on a regular basis. After the slack in the cable adjuster has been taken up, you need to disconnect and reset the lever on the rear brake. I've reset the lever several times over the two years that I've had the Spyder. Check the handbook for instructions.

I have your solution. I make a manual parking brake lever that works like a charm on 2008 to 2010 SM5 and SE5 Spyders. No more rolling away. You use it while sitting on the Spyder or off it. Contact me at <xe1ll@prodigy.net.mx> for price and how to pay. Next day shipping.

You will eventually run out of adjustment or get sick of doing it. Have a suitable company make up a new brake cable using heavier cable.
The problem should dramatically improve.

I make a manual parking brake component that will allow you to securely apply and release the parking brake without dismounting your 2008, 2009, and 2010 SE5 and SM5 GS type Spyder. It's cost is $110.00 including shipping to the States. This will be your best investment on an after market item. It solves the foot operated parking brake problem. Email me at <xe1ll@prodigy.net.mx> for payment instructions.
