This will be my first SITS and I see where we will Meet-n-Greet on Wednesday between 1-9PM at Smoky's Pub & Grub. I looked up the place on Google maps and sure doesn't look like allot of parking spaces. I'm sure some will be walking from nearby lodging but we will need to ride our RTS since we'll be camping outside of town. Is there additional parking available nearby?

From Arthur---Mexico City
Don't forget about the big BBQ luncheon at Lamont's home on Wednesday from 1200 to 1600 hrs and more. You can find information and directions on his web site Spyder Lovers. The affair should be a good one. No costs are involved. There should be no competition between the Spyder Talk and Spyder Lovers. We're all in the same boat. Go easy on the curves. There's no hurry to get anyplace---especially one place.

I believe the BBQ at Lamont's is scheduled for Thursday, 9/23, not Wednesday. And I believe the time is set for showing up whenever you like with food at 4:00 pm.

So you're saying there's plenty of parking space around Smoky's for 200 or so bikes? It's been a few years since I was in Gatlinburg but I don't remember there being that much space at any establishment downtown.

No I did say "200" Spyders, if that number of Spyders meet any where in down town, parking could be a problem. :)

Many people are staying at the Red Roof Inn. Jay & I have stayed at the Red Roof the past two years and will be again this year. The Red Roof Inn is within walking distance. We just left our Spyders at the Red Roof Inn and walked to Smoky's.

If I remember correctly, there is a gas station and convenience store across from Smoky's with a few parking spaces behind it. There is another road within walking distance that had some parking spaces along side the road.

There may not be enough parking spaces AT Smoky's for everyone, but you should not have a hard time finding a parking space within walking distance.

Only reason I said 200 is last year's event had over 150 bikes and I would imagine most everyone would want to be at the Meet-n-Greet this year. Guess we'll find enough room for parking on the street. Looking forward to the rally.

Parking got a little interesting last year, but Spyders like to hug each other.
