12 volt plug in how difficult Rate Topic: -----

I see quite a few 08's for sale with 12 volt plug in. and 12 volt plug ins on ebay. How difficult to install?? Any tricks?? wingie

Easy for anyone with basic wiring skills to follow the instructions. There is not usually a fuse in the circuit to the new power outlet. It is only a 3 amp circuit.

where to they normally get installed on the bike? WHere do u wire it to? is there a place in the existing plug in on the harness to plug 12 volt plug into?

Open the trunk and look at the right hand side (facing trunk) top. There is, from memory, a circular mark where the socket goes. The wiring is already in place just behind here attached to the frame (on Australian Spyders anyway). No new wiring needed , just plug in.
