I find that I have to pump up my brakes a little. Is this normal? My SE5 2008 Spyder has only 1,500 miles on it. Also, when I start out hard from a dead stop, after about 1 or 2 seconds the motor stops briefly, like a hickup, and then clutch kicks in again and I take off like a bat out of hell. How do I correct that pause when starting up fast suddenly. My Spy is still under guarantee til January 2011.

You could air out the brakes. Maybe it helps.
When it comes to the clutch is it long time since oil change?. BRP have come out with a bulletin that says oil filter for the clutch(small one) should be changed at every oil change (off course) and the interval for change should be every 5000km.

You should not have to pump your brakes. Bleeding the lines to remove any trapped air may help. There was a service bulletin for SE's regarding adding an extra ground wire to improve shifting. Did you have this done? This should all be covered under warranty. Good Luck
