I also find this amazing you see so many lookers and no one replies or wants to be involved. Come Sydeny Spyders lets have a meet and greet with a bbq some where down south.

This is like our own we are in the australian site not the whole site so we should be getting some replies now.
I agree - As I have said before (and I have been building web sites for 10 years)- you have X number of Australian Spyder owners using the internet for forums.
You currently have 2 Australian forums (albeit attached to US forums) and the number X is spread across them.
Add a third Australian forum and the communication will NOT be improved , in my experience.
To see whats going on I currently have to check 2 Australian forums, plus 3 US Spyder forums. Checking 3 Australian forums will not get better response- again in my experience..
If people are online and interested you should have heard from them by now..

Well I for one do not feel like roaming 3 sites just to find out what the hell is happening here when these are mostly surfed by others I feel if we had a focus foram in australia for australians then we would get a much improved communication going on. What we do not know from this veiwing number is how many are from other countries.

would like to know where the 2 australian forums are as spydertalk is a USA forum and the same for spyderlovers with an australian content.

My goodness.. this is the internet. Does it matter where the server is, or the host? It can be China, the US , wherever. You have 2 seperate Australian forums attached to Spyderlovers and Spydertalk. Sure at odd times you will get Americans commenting on the Australian forums but that will never change.
If you started a third one hosted in Australia you will still get comments from overseas, that's what the internet is about.
With Spyderryders.net.au more than 80% of my visitor numbers are from the US , Canada and Europe.
I am sorry if I am misunderstanding this but I really don't follow the logic.
In my opinion the reason you are not getting flooded with response from Australian Spyder owners is that not all of them use the computer and also the general apathy that develops in any club or common interest group. Every club I have been involved in operates on the efforts of a small group while the majority sit quietly in the background.
All that being said have a go and establish a forum (you may realise the time you have to invest to moderate it
Anyway, my opinion and experience only - no offense intended.

I agree totaly. I have spoken to quite a number of Spyder owners. A lot aren't interested in computers (they use them all day at work), and others aren't interested in forums. Check Australian spyder ryders site, and it shows 3 Spyder owners in Tassie. I know from the dealer here that there are at least 30/40 Spyders in Tassie. Give it a go by all means. I'll be checking in, but be prepared to be disappointed.

How topics inside a topic change, This started out about having a meet and greet down the south coast and has run onto creating forum. However nothing else has changed we still have no other repies for a ride on the 3rd sunday this month.
Anyone around Parramatta can meet at my house around 7:30 am and leave at 8:am then maybe we wait at meccarno set at villawood for some others for 15 minutes at oh 8:30 then ride out via heathcoat rd to waterfall then into national park then stop at stanwell tops. Then after that we can go else where for a bbq.

Hi
We have organised a Meet and Greet Spyder ride day for Sunday the 20th June.
Leaving from my house 23 Preston Rd Old Toongabbie at 8 am and heading over for a short stop there to meet some bikes at Cnr barbers rd and Woodville rd Chester hill app 8:15, then up to meccano set and see if there are bikes waiting on the Horsley dr side of Liverpool rd, out to Heathcote rd and if any need to stop they can just pull up and we will let them join this would be around 8:30/ 8: 45 then out to the national park and if ppl who want to meet us there they can wait near the booth then we go thru the park to Stanwell Tops to meet some who are coming from down south. We are hoping to have a bbq down Wollongong somewhere this is still undecided.
If anyone wants to contact me they can either via terry@terrytheknifeguy.com.au headed ride day or after hours on 04147568584
