After installing the Corbin seats on my 2008 SE5 Spy the new RH side case's mounting lowered the mounting position of the muffler causing it to bottomed out exessively when my wife would sit behind me. The muffler's lower surface and clamping band began getting beat up on every road irregularity I would pass over. I corrected it by blocking up the rear of my Spy about 13/16". I did this in preference to changing the shock adjustment to a higher and harder position because doing it my way the ride is still soft and comfortable. If anyone with an SE5 or SM5 is interested in getting rid of the scraping before the scraping gets rid of your muffler or wears out the underside on the Spy's frame contact me. xe1ll@prodigy.net.mx. I had a similar problem with bottoming out. I had my dealer install an Elka air shock and the problem went away.

Dear no name,
Those air shocks were a very costly way of getting done what my $45.00 (with shipping) block up device does. You could have installed my system youself too.
