Congrats on the RT, if you read Fred's and Lamont's Comments about the RT and trailer, the common thoguht of the RT being uderpowered does not seem to be an issue, (or any of the RT5 group reviews). I have not recieved my RT-622 trailer as of yet, but with close to 3k miles on my RT-S in all types of riding conditions, I don't see any shortage on power.

Thanks for the info. I must admit that the Demo I had was new and low miles so I like my Dealer and never did twist the throttle. Once I do get my RT and have it broken in then I hope to find some extra zip. I was driving the Demo on back roads at about 45-50 mph and found myself downshifting. I guess I like to get into 5th gear to soon but will learn the engine dynamics soon. I found out that the RT seems to be happy at 5000 rpms. The RT engine does have a higher compression ratio I see but needs 91 octane. More weight to push plus premium gas. I don't mind paying more for fuel but I would have liked a larger engine with more touque. I would have waited for next year or so but my Wife loved the RT so much and so did I that we ordered one. I feel confident that it will bring us many happy miles.

Wow, Got my New RT home already. Only one hour of driving late yesterday but plan on driving most of the day today. Breakin means taking it easy but so far my new ride feels Great !! I bought the base RT in Full Moon and will add some Chrome. I bought the 3 pieces of Luggage as well, a nice fit. I wish BRP had made a piece of Chrome to fit over the small black area under the rear view mirrors. Maybe someone will come out with a piece. I hope to get the Evolution Sway Bar. Sounds like a few weeks before it will be available. My trade-in had one and I loved it. Better go, don't want to miss any time out there.

Just back from our day on the RT and loved it. I got over 31 mpg US and over 37 mpg Can. I think that was pretty good for the first tank of gas. At over 13 klm/liter of fuel that gives me a range of about 330 klms (25 liter tank). Lets say 180 miles with about 18 miles to spare. I for one still want the EVO Sway bar. I found even with the front shocks set to max that the RT still swayed side to side a bit so the stiffer sway bar shoud stop that. My RT felt so comfortable and think it will be in my stable for some time !!

It is starting to appear the the "air bag" for the air ride suspension does bleed off overnight, I did find a small air leak in the connection from the Schrader valve to the first connection point on the Spyder, and that was resolved.
My tech called and talked with BRP, and that was their statement as well.

When talking to my tech guy about my leaky rear shock, he told me that BRP told him to check the fittings. He was told that the air pressure is checked at assembly in the morning and then at the end of the day so if it holds then all is OK but mine needs overnight to loss. I hope to get is resloved quickly.

Wow, A year gone by already. Just looking back to my old post and thought I would do an update. I hated my suspension on my RT so I ended up getting Elkas and never looked back. I love the solid front end and can conner so much better and straight line stability it so much better as well. The RT is not like my GS because it is a Touring model not a Sport model but the comfort level for us is great. I did ask about adding adjustable suspension because I bought the base model and now BRP has a kit available, good for them. The smaller windshield and lower wind deflectors are available now and are a must because the RT does push a lot of wind and anything that will help it cut through the wind is a must for me. My RT runs fine but My wish would be for a larger bore engine with torque and I hope that will come soon. Maybe a stronger engine will get better mpgs and not need so much downshifting. I have not had any issues with my ride and think BRP has built a good ride. Still having Fun !
