Marc,
Where will the Spyder Gang be staying this year at Spyders In the Smokies? I'd like to get reservations made early
Thanks,
Dee

Last year a lot of us stayed at the Red Roof Inn. Not fancy but clean and inexpensive.

Dee,
We stayed at the Red Roof Inn last year in Gatlinburg, TN.. Like Trickie Dick replied, it's not fancy, but clean and inexpensive. Infact we have reservations for there again this year. During the Spyders In The Smokies Rally last year I took a head count on the number of Spyders in the parking lot (very early in the morning) and counted close to 60. FYI: The phone number to the Gatlinburg Red Roof Inn is: (865)436-7813.

Dee I stayed the last two years at the microtel which is in the center of town but one block of the main drag. was easy walking to everything including the bars.
The parking is under the building, 1/2 of it and was inexpensive.

Thank you guys so much! Last year we (Spyderdawg and I)stayed in Pigeon Forge but are planning on Gatlinburg this year. I will be making our reservations within the next two weeks hopefully. We've really enjoyed the rally the last two years and look forward to seeing everyone again this year!

Last year we stayed at Greystone,(next to the aquarium). It is a little more expensive, but being able to park the Spyder in the garage out of the rain was nice. We would consider Red Roof Inn, but have a question. We are planning on trailering the bike in, so is there enough parking to leave my truck and trailer there?
Thanks!

We stayed at the Red Roof Inn last year and we had trailered (8x16) our bikes. We arrived late Sat. night with the Rally starting on Monday. We had no problem parking our trailer and truck. Due to the fact that alot of the rooms were rented to spyder riders that rode their bikes in allowed more room. To sum it all up, the sooner you check in prior to the Rally, the better chance you'll have.

It has been several years since we have been to Gatlinburg, and last time we were there we stayed in Pigeon Forge, so we made our reservations on Orbitz for the Ramada Pigeon Forge on the Parkway next to the Kentucky Fried Chicken and Cracker Barrel.
It should be a short ride to Gatlinburg through the nice winding Senic Parkway.
$180.00 for 3 nights was more than this tight wad wanted to pay, but you only live once.
Mary & I look forward to seeing al the other Spyder owners.
C-YA RL & Mary
PS a little tip for your trip---when making reservations ask for handicapped room if available. It will be on the 1st floor and usually you can park right outside the room.

I made reservations a couple of days ago at the Red Roof Inn. Three hotels were listed in town on some post I saw and now I can't find it. I was surprised that all 3 are Pet Friendly too! This will be our 1st year to attend and we are looking forward to it.

Just called the Red Roof Inn and they are sold out! Where are others staying? Bill Made reservations at the Family Inn down the street @$59 plus tax a night. Now if I could just figure out how to bypass the Pay Pal online to simply pay using the chredit card alone. I will not use Pay Pal as they tried to attach my bank account one time for something I didn't purchase and they are owned by EBAY which is too anti-gun and everything else other than them making money hand over fist, I would be fine. Heck I am just going to send a check now if I could just figure out who to make it out to? Think DOOtalk LLC will have to do? I will mail the whole thing I guess. I hate when people try and force you to use PAY PAL. Bill

I will be staying at the DaysInn Wednesday thru Saturday. I think the rates Monday-Thursday are $48.00, Friday and saturday are $72.00. You can call and make a reservation at 865-436-5811, if you stay 3 nights or longer you can get a 20% discount.

Did you find a RV park to stay? We just made reservations at Cove Creek RV Resort outside Pigeon Forge. Cindy, OPS Manager was very accommodating and said the park is brand new. Looks like a nice new RV park with large concrete pads and not that far from Gatlinburg (thru National Park). They still have some long (85') pull thru sites. We have a 39' Discovery motor coach pulling a new 12' enclosed trailer.
