So for those of you that have ordered and recieved your RT's, how long did you wait, generally speaking. I suppose geographical location does impact lead time, I live right on the Wisconsin/Illinois border, half way between Chicago and Milwaukee.
Thanks for your feedback.

Congratulations , lead time will vary based upon how many are in the Que , your dealer should be able to tell online once it is ordered. I do know that several dealers here in NY have delivered their ordered RT's and have a few RT's in stock. I had a friend walk in and buy a Orbital Blue with audio and convenience last week at a dealer and rode it home the next day. They are out there , most dealers will dealer trade , you should see if your dealer will get one from another dealer for you.

When they wrote up the order, they logged unto BRP's site to check the lead time and their system just stated "April" for delivery. The dealer told me they would contact the regional sales rep to get a "firmer" date. I'm cool with an April delivery, our weather here doesn't really turn the corner until late April anyway.
I posted this same thread on Spyderlovers.com and someone else had stated they had ordered an RT a/c back in December and still hadn't recieved it, that made me a bit suspicous, thanks again for the info.

My wife and I rode our RS's this past Sunday with a group including our dealer(s) (husband and wife). We made our deal for the RT-S in orbital blue. We knew they had one coming in. I dropped off my wife's RS at the dealer yesterday afternoon and while I was there a flat bed pulled in with 3 seadoos and our new touring bike. Now it's a waiting game while they get her prepped. We're having them add fusion lighting during the set up. I feel like you....I'm a little sad about getting rid of the RS but touring will be fun too!

Wow what great turn-around time some of you guys are having.
I ordered my RTS in Orbital blue on Feb 2 and took my 2008 RS in to the dealer about a month ago so they could put it on the showroom floor. ...trying to be a 'nice' customer an' all.
My patience is getting very thin as there have been many great riding days and I've no machine to ride. Insurance is all paid and there it sits in THEIR place.
The only info I've gotten is last week when I pushed for news. I was told it may possibly be onto the assembly line last Friday. Nothing more concrete.
Bottom line: the dealer has $1000 deposit plus my trade which they have listed for $14,900.
I think I feel very stupid and far too trusting.
I wonder if it's all a big game....especially when I read that there are dealers who have stock just sitting there.
Going to call the dealer today and lean on him to get my 2008 back for the weekend (and THEN we'll see)

I've been having great service and luck with with BRP. My dealer just called and I pick up my bike this afternoon. I'll post a pic. There is a person by the name of Carlos who works for BRP and monitors the SpyderRider.com forum. I would try to make contact and explain your situation. I had two issues with my RS and mentioned them on the SpyderRyders forum. Carlos called me at home after reading my comments and resolved the issues. You might give it a try.

Congratulations, with the added muffler (that I presume is louder) I listen to a lot of talk radio when ryding. Are you able to hear the radio? Or do you have it piped into your helmet?
I was at my dealership yesterday and they said they had already sold and delivered 4 RT spyders. They said there allotment for the year was being signifigantly reduced by BRP,so they said the value of my bike would become more rare. That doesn't sound good for BRP. I hope they sell more than they can make.

Well. When did they say you would get it?. MY dealer has always been in the ball park when I ordered a spyder (twice). First time I ordered the GS Jan 08/08 and they said it would arrive June /08 and it it did (June 10/08). Ordered the RT November 19/09, they said by the end of March 2010 and I picked it up March 10, 2010. It was sure hard waiting for that first time and they wouldn't give a firm date until they got the shipping notice. Second time I wasn't in a hurry but, We don't start riding in this part of the world until about April anyway.

Not sure about the radio. It's not THAT much louder but gives a nice bass note from the pipe. I like that 4 stroke rumble sound. My dealer does it as a safety consideration so they can hear you coming. Check out the fusion lights.
