While at my dealers today having some warranty wrok preformed on the Speedster 150, my parts manager checked
the CB status online. It showed "In Process". He called BRP and confirmed they received the CB units on 3/9/10
and was informed that processing could take 3-5 days, then they would be shipped out.
Also he was not able to confirm exactly how many units BRP had received.
But as usual, it could take that long, or my dealer could get an email tomorrow with a tracking number.

these should be A-1 , top of the line rubber duckies, and with the helmets expected to come out in early june (cross my fingers) BRP again has hit it out of the ball bark.
I called my dealer today for a status report,I was told a month ago the CB would be here 3/10/2010 and today they said it was back ordered and no expected delivery date, oh well

My info was accurate as of 2:15pm (PST) today, and I know it to be factual as I was viewing the BOSSWEB order pages with the parts manager. The 3/10 date has not changed in weeks, and that
is the date BRP expected to receive them. Not sure why your dealer would let you believe he would have it by that date.
I will be checking the status again tomorrow and will post what I learn, I will be able to verify if they are now on backordered. That may have happened if they filled orders sooner than they predicted today and are now out of them.

I'm curious what you guys think once you get. I guess I've moved on to bluetooth phone hookups, GPS with traffic alerts, etc...but maybe I am missing something I don't know about.

Only reason for me going with the CB is that it is needed for the RT com system, Sound System, iPod, GPS, are integrated into it. My cell will connect to the Garmin via bluetooth, so all works out in the end.

Just checked with my dealer, CB still showing "In Process".
Here is the info about different dealers receiving different info:
If an owner wants to order the CB unit today, it will show "Back Ordered" with no estimated date of arrival at BRP.
If like me, your dealer placed your order for the CB back in September, it could show "In Process", or possibly "Back Ordered".
Just depends on how many CB units BRP has received, and when your CB was ordered.

Mine shipped on the 10th from BRp and UPS shows delivery on the 16th at my dealer in Livermore. We'll install next week and I'll report out on quality and intercom quality with the J&M headsets.

Thanks Lonnie. Would be interested in how the set-up works with J&M...I would bet it's going to sound great.

Lonnie,
Since my dealer informed me that the headsets wouldn't arrive untill sometime in May I'd be interested in the ones you got from J&M. Are they plug and play specifically for the RT? Do you mind quoting the cost? The only reason I bought the CB was to have the intercom. It looks like the CB's will be here soon and if the J&M will work I might just go ahead and order them.
Thanks
Dwight

The com system on the RT uses a 7 pin plug, most newer style headsets have a "lower cord section" that is replaceable. This allows one to change the headset to fit different bikes.
So if you purchased any style of the J&M line, you will need to purchase the lower cord in a 7 pin connection.

Drivers headset plugs in between the four switches.
Passenger headset plugs in by the left hand grip. (opposite side from the passneger volume controls)
For the passenger, you will need to buy the Entertainment Harness below.
Info/Instructions
The harness for the driver is included in the CB Radio kit.
So you need the CB Radio Kit and the Entertainment Harness for the RT com system to be funcional.
