One feature of the Zumo 550 that I would have liked to be included on the Zumo 660 was the "security lock".

The 550 included a small tool for tightening the locking screw, which allowed leaving the Garmin in the cradle
and one did not need to remove and store the uint for quick/short stops.

The 600 does not have this feature, and one now needs to remove it when ever left unattended, or take the chance
of someone just pushing the release lever and walking away with the unit.

Before someone informs me I'm incorrect, yes the Garmin site states that the 550,660, and 665 all have the "Garmin Lock",that is
in reference to the password protection of the software, not actually a mechanical locking of the unit to the base/cradle. :)

This mount may need some modification to fit/work on the RT, not sure since I don't have it installed. :)

TOURATECH has this locking unit available for the 660:

I really should upgrade my GPS on my Spyder this year. I've been getting by with my old Garmin and just taking it off when it rains or when I stop somewhere.

The above mount is a bit pricey, and not sure I'm buying into the vibration protection as a major plus. But with the price of a new 550,660, or 665, this
could be cheap insurance for walking away from a Spyder and forgetting about the GPS not being secure. :)

Also I preferred the 550 locking system, less chance of the unit not being locked in place and driving off and having the GPS fall off. (have seen a few posts about this happening)
So think I'll order the above unit, seems to be more of a sure thing for the GPS being locked/secure and not needing to be concerned about not latching into place every time.
Could just be an issue of old age as well.

I ordered the TourTech and should be installing either tomorrow at home or Friday at Speed Sports and will send photos and info on what it takes. Looks like the base should attach with four longer screws/nuts.
