The 550 included a small tool for tightening the locking screw, which allowed leaving the Garmin in the cradle
and one did not need to remove and store the uint for quick/short stops.
The 600 does not have this feature, and one now needs to remove it when ever left unattended, or take the chance
of someone just pushing the release lever and walking away with the unit.
Before someone informs me I'm incorrect, yes the Garmin site states that the 550,660, and 665 all have the "Garmin Lock",that is
in reference to the password protection of the software, not actually a mechanical locking of the unit to the base/cradle.
This mount may need some modification to fit/work on the RT, not sure since I don't have it installed.
