He may try and BS customers with this new "disclaimer", even if all he states is legal, this "disclaimer" would not apply to any orders placed before his date of posting this on his site. (IMHO)

This is no different then BRP with their spyder product, I think i was ripped off with them, oil in air cleaner,(not fixed)
dps problems,(not fixed) hard to remove air cleaner cover, brake noise, loose water hoses, bad service, bad customer follow up,(from brp)
gas smell ( not fixed,), resale value drop because of problems, :beerchug1:

I'm well aware of your not being happy with your Spyder, as for bad service from dealers....... perhaps it is how you interact with them..

As for BRP being like F1 Windhsields, I think you are a way off on that statement, at least buyers that put a deposit down with BRP, they have RECIEVED thier product, not just a run around for a delivery time. :TgC_emoticon142:

You just had your DPS replaced with in the last few weeks, so are you saying you are still having a problem with it ?

Have you contacted Carlos, he has assisted many owners. I had a call this week from him about my clutch issue, that is more than members here are reporting about Marcel. :TgC_emoticon142:

I'am happy with the Spyder,
when i take the spyder to marina boat sales for repairs the dealer should not dicuss it with you, this is my business and not yours or anyone else, you do not know the whole story . Your memory must be short, BRP did accept a $1000.00 depoist and was to mfg only 2500, but mfg over 3400,
and would never give us del date, it was always a suprise when the dealer rec it.
The dealer should stock parts for the spyder, they will not order parts under warranty untill the bike is in their shop and then it sets for three weeks waiting for BRP to ship it. now is that customer service? :beerchug1:

They did not "discuss it", I had asked if "any Spyders" had been in recently for the DPS issue, from seeing posts about owners having some issues lately. I was leaving one day as you arrived, so concluded it was your Spyder with DPS issues, ya, hard to believe from some one with a "short memory".

If you Sir remember reading the Spyder Purcase Agreement, the 2,500 number was open for interpretation , and YES there was a delivery date that owners agreed to, it was no later than April 2008.
BRP gave an "estimated" starting time, but never "promised" any specific date. It was a signed legal contract that owners entered into, no gamble, no chance of loss.

Now if you want to compare that to Marcel, I fail to see your logic.

As for not ordering warranty items without having the Spyder "held up" in the shop, I know that not to be a fact in all cases. I just had the clutch replaced, it was ordered same day as it was determined to be the issue, new clutch arrived two days later, I returned and had it installed.
I also had this done at DH Cycles, so it really depends on what the part is.

I'm not going to continue to discuss this, having talked with you on a few occasions in person, I know your "opinion" of BRP very well.
If you want to truly believe BRP and F1 Windshileds do business the same, have it your way. :TgC_emoticon142:

I intially came to this thread to defend Marcel - I have an evo 111 slider from him and it looks/works fine and the price/shipping time etc were very reasonable - I want more wind protection for the long hauls and was zeroing in on the Mantis. I still may go that way.
But, the fit and finish of the blown up pics of the trunk really concern me-it appears to be very "wavy" and "pitted"

I still don't think Marcel is a rip off artist, there is ALOT of his products on the road. I am going to with-hold jumping to conclusions and see how this pans out. I have a good budy that has a Mantis on order and will see its quality when he recieves it. I am going to wait and hear feedback concerning the final trunk model that is shipped to purchasers. I think there needs to be better customer service, the communication to folks that have forked out big bucks must be improved. He needs to get a full time CS rep, his sales will go throught the roof -- assuming the product shipped to customers is up to par.

Has your friend received there fairing yet?
