The JB is worth it if you add a free flowing air filter with your exhaust such as the green filter or kewlmetal intake, etc. It will even out the performance, increase gas mileage, increase acceleration.

I don't know about gas mileage... The Spyder is super lean from the factory for emissions purposes, anytime you add fuel to compensate for that muffler or air box and get the Spyder to a more safe and manageable tune.. adding fuel = less mileage. Its not like the JB is changing timing, or anything... its just a fuel controller.
The good news is that if you add fuel - your Spyder will run cooler, live longer and make more power.
The bad news is your gas mileage will suffer a little.

Adding a free flowing exhaust and intake can make it run even leaner. Thats where the JB comes into play evening things up. Running too lean will effect gas mileage.

You might be waiting for a LOOOOOONG time. The JB is a Dobeck controller (http://www.dobeckperformance.com/) and they have been talking about this new controller for quite some time. Rumors of a self tuning one that ties directly into a wideband controller, etc...
What I would do is put a wideband on your spyder now, look at your AFR's and see if you even need a JB/Dobeck, etc... if your lean, if your fat (fuel fat.. not body fat) or your AFR's are all over the place.. You might want to get one now. I do know from personal experience with the Aerocommander (same as Juice Box) that when you add fuel to get the spyder running safely, engine temps drop off a bunch and your motor will live longer for sure. Everyone that is looking at fan controllers, higher speed fans, etc... you dont need to, just get some more gas in the spyder!
And I think I've said this before... Wideband = $300, JB = $350... thats $650.. its 12% of the cost of the Aerocharger turbo kit that includes both a fuel controller and a wideband..

I have had a flat spot in the 3500 to 4500 RPM range from day one. Both re-flashes helped but still wasn't great. I have just gone through the 12,000 mile budget buster and had a JB and TBR slip-on with baffle installed. The pre-programmed JB made a big improvement but after tweaking the mid-range adjustment the Spyder screams with the surging eliminated. I found the JB to be easy to play with. I am guessing a seat of the pants gain to be in the 15 to 20% horsepower range. This has been the best investment yet. The only negative is a little drop in fuel mileage. I prefer performance to economy.

I'll be happy to. The JB comes pre-programmed for the Spyder so I suggest you start with those settings. At that time, contact me and I will walk you through what I did. Good luck. Mike

What mid-range adjustment are you referring to. I've been tweaking my JB but really can't distinguish some of the bands.

I found the Mode 4 adjustment worked best by - to the 4 position. It flashes green/blue. I ran it up and down and that setting is the best I've found. All the other bands seem to be strictly for acceleration.

TB make the buffles but they are still very high is the sound, I hade the duels and the complaints I had was not good, so I bought a single tb still loud so i use the ADR plate and placed it between the pipe and the link pipe. This plate which is made of stainless and 1.2mm x about 60mm dia and it has 4 20mm holes to help make it quieter, its what came to the dealers here in Australia so they would pass the EPA test for noise but used with the std pipe where it joins at the engine pipe, it doe's work just make sure the bolt are about 5mm longer for the joiner and use some lock tight.
