I am about to replace the rear tyre, I usually ride 2 up with a fair amount of vigour.. ( love the old pacific highway ) Has anyone got suggestions or recomendations. I have managed about 15,000 km's on the original with low pressures.

Thanks Bruce.

I have done a little bit of searching in the local market and found the following tyres available localy.
Toyo Proxes T1R @ $190 fitted.
or BF Goodrich G Force @ $235 fitted.
These are Hobart prices and with 18k on the bike I havn't changed mine yet. Wont be far away though :(
Hope this helps.

I put on Kumho ASTs on mine 10,000 miles ago - look new and have performed great.

$70. from tire rack with free shipping. Found a local bike shop to take off, balence put on for $50.

So $120. total :riding:

I went looking for these, and found that they aren't imported into Australia. I ended up fitting the Toyo. It seems to handle ok, I haven't done a great deal of distance on it yet.

Cheers;

Pogo.

Hey guys. I've just bought a new Spyder and trying to learn as much about them as I can after riding on two wheels for 25 years. This post about tyres got my attention as the dealer I bought the bike from indicated that you had to use the tyres from the dealer and not use car tyres. The tyres being discussed in this thread are car tyres - yes?

How do they compare in handling hand price from the ones supplied by the local Can Am dealership?
