I installed Madstad and did a short road test two times.. first one didn't work out but second one was improvement with slight wind hitting my face but I didn't realize a lot of time and work involved in adjusting the bracket.. I had to remove the windshield to adjust the bracket and they will move even when you are tightening the bolt/nut..

So I was wondering what angle worked better for you guys? I am 5'11" tall and I have 22" windshield.. here is my angle I am at right now (pics attached)..

I was hoping that you would get a lot of respones from this..I have just about wore out the hardware making adjustments.. :) Just can't seem to find the sweet spot.. getting head buffering and haven't found a spot that gets rid of it...even thought about getting a Vario spoiler but windshield is to flat for them..so still working on it....

yea, I am surprised that I am not getting any reply for this thread yet after hearing all great things about the product. :TgC_emoticon142: So I emailed Mark not long ago to see if he could give me some pointer but if I don't get any luck on it then I may just return it back to Mark and give F1 a try.

I am 6ft tall with 4"rise on the bars, 22" screen. This angle works well for me. I suspect you may have the bottom of the screen too close to the Spyders body?? Just a guess looking at your photo.

Martin- Yea, the bottom part of bracket is too close to the body with top part of the bracket almost at same angle as your. Would that be why? Also, is it normal to see slight vibration because I am pretty sure that I have all bolts and screw (on windshield) pretty tight.

I agree, have mine adjusted just like yours, 6Ft. I still get wind in the face but a lot more dispursed, heck its not a sports car were driving.

Yea Steelcitytransplant, that's the whole point.. better to have stock windshield with wind in my face and $259 in my pocket rather than $259 windshield on my spyder and wind in my face... $259 can be used elsewhere..

Anyway, Mark replied to my email and he attached few pics of the angle he had and it was a sweet spot for him at 5'8" so I now have time to adjust it today after busy week and I will be playing with it this afternoon. Will follow-up later this evening..

Follow-up:

3rd adj was at where Mark suggested had too much wind in my nose but I could really feel the difference as there was less wind on bottom of my chin so I pulled off the road and made slight adj to the bottom bracket and I think I found my sweet spot! I feel no pressure toward my torso, and face but some winds on side of my face which is satisfying to me and now I am happy camper! I suspect that 3rd adj would work great if I had a 4" riser so I guess I will keep that in mind when I up my handlebar.

You will often see a slight "vibration" in the windscreen as it is rubber mounted via the well nuts. More noticable in cross winds. Glad you found your"sweet spot".

It was money well spent because before with the touring shield it was just brutal.

Flying Ken, It's more than $259.00 in your pocket. It's stones, rain, insects, and flying tarantula spiders that get in your face and eyes.

To Little Ken I purchased mine thru Martin and with his help via the pics I have found my close sweet spot I am 5"6" with 4 " riser kit and if you think with standard bar and screen is brutal you should have hed the 4" riser and standard screen!
I have a large gap at the bottom and close to straight up with some tilt backwards I wil have to take a couple of windscreen pics with this new setting.

After several other trys, I've got my 23" BRP screen set at the highest and most upright setting and it works great for me at 5'11" and with 1"risers.

My wife has one on her RS. First thing I suggest is to turn your brackets upside down. You have to put the left bracket on the right side and the right side bracket on the left side. The extension on the bracket pointing up and not down. This will let you raise the windshield higher. She has a 24" windshield and the brackets turned up.
You will notice a big difference.
