My dealer managed to talk the Spyder tech to come in to do the PDI on my Spyder yesterday, he was off for being ill, and I was trying to stay ahead of the hourly changing in the weather.
After the PDI I took Spydie out for a few miles of testing before making the 40 mile trip home. Worked out well when I was within two blocks of home, I had a few drops of rain on the
shield, but made it home without getting rained on.

Has been sunny today and made time for a couple of short rides, took a few pics.

Whoa! Thats beautiful! I'm definitely getting one.

I don't like the yellow headlights though. Hope someone will make some compatible clear/white Xenons with just the ever so subtle hint of blue in them.

The headlight bulbs are clear/white, not yellow. I would be cautious of Xeons, could cause a heat issue for the clear plastic shields. :TgC_emoticon142:

They look yellow from the photos. :TgC_emoticon142:

I guess I will know for sure when I see for myself in person.

I've ran aftermarket Xenons in at least 7 different vehicles (including 3 different motorcycles) and never had any problems. These were
vehicles that were not suppose to have xenons in them in the first place. Maybe you are thinking of the cheapo fake bulbs that are suppose to look like xenons, but are not?

I've never had 'excessive heat' from a quality 'true' xenon kit.

No not the cheap ones, and I have two cars with them now, the heat thing was a thought before coffee, and not stated as factual. I just find it curious why BRP is not offering the HID units for the RT as they do with the RS. :)

Because of heat - I have the BRP HID lights on my RS and there is heat. The RT has a clear sealed lens over the light area so go ahead and create a preach in the seal headlight assembly.

BRP just replace one entire headlight because during a rain storm that I rode in water got in to the lens. I had constance condensation in that lens.

You will only create a problem for you self :headbang: - but then go ahead - I like entertainment :popc1:

Is that darker blue than the brochure or brp website shows? Or is it something with your camera?

Nothing wrong with my camera. :)

In my opinion, BRP used the Quantum Blue color of the RS for the promo pictures of the RT-S Orbital Blue.

The pic below shows an RS in the Quantum Blue with an RT-S Orbital Blue to the rear of it.

The blue on the RT is definitely a lot darker than it appears in the promos. But it's still nice and looks loads different in the sun for sure. I like the Quantum Blue on the new RS better, but if I got the RT it would be Orbital Blue for sure. :)
