Ryders!
It's been nearly a year since I joined the boards and a very VERY generous member helped me buy my Spyder all the way up in Redding California. I've been working on this project in near total secrecy, but we're getting ready to unveil the prototype and share it with the world. I've posted a few in-process pictures and a quick video I did for the eBay Motors Master contest. Thanks to folks on here I was a Finalist in the motorcycle category and eventually was chosen as the Grand Prize winner. The SEMA show was a lot of fun, but unfortunately we didn't get to bring the prototype down to Las Vegas.
Reaction has been very positive and people who think we're crazy have been kind enough to keep it to themselves. I'm going to the DMV to get a new title since the vehicle was already inspected (and cleared) by the CHP and issued a new VIN. Technically I don't own a Can-Am anymore, but I hope I'm still welcomed here.
Please let us know what you think. Questions gladly answered!
Thanks,
Hong

Stunning, but the fenders just don't look right to my eye.

Thanks and agreed. Carbon fiber fenders are *way* down on the "to fabricate" list.

It looks like it will be a blast to ride, kind of T Rex like. Is it still registered as a motorcycle?
What color do you plan on painting it? A good paint job would really set the machine off - the flat grey jusy does not do the lines justice.

I'd love to see this in person. Can't wait to see it painted. I agree, the fenders don't look right.

The T-Rex's are starting to become the 'old school' of reverse trikes, but I certainly don't mind the comparison. I'm planning on a blue and white two tone. Check out the renderings on our website: http://prongmotors.com/gallery.html
I realize it's a bit rudimentary at this time, but it was done in-house, not by professionals (yet).

Might we have our first customer?! I'll be sure to update the forums once we do our initial PR.
Thanks,

Thats pretty intersting! But the tires look too small on the front and the fenders.. eugh. I suggest adapters and bigger wheels like I did here: http://www.spydertal...466-new-wheels/
It would look pretty slick then! Can you get some pics of the inside of the cabin so we can see pedal/steering arrangement?

Whoa! I NEED those wheels. Well, the adapters. I toyed with the idea of making some, but could never figure out a good bolt pattern to use. Now I don't have access to the CNC mill anymore... It looks like you went 5x??? bolt, but are only using three bolts to hold the wheel on? Any problems doing so? Might be cheaper to just buy a set if someone already makes these.
And I like the de-fendered look! I'll try to post some interior shots, but it's a prototype and not all that interesting.
