I have a few questions about the BRP fog lights. #1 Do they make much of a differance? #2 Are they on all the time or only when the low beams are on? If they only are on when the lows are on, could they be wired to be on all the time?
Thanks.

They are fog lights, so are most effective when in foggy conditions. I used them as additional lighting at all times, made the Spyder more noticeable in daylight conditions in my opinion.

They are installed using a separate switch, so you determine when they are on/off.

I agree that they add visibility in the daylight. I like them for that. They also light the area in front of the Spyder, close to the vehicle, nicely. This is an area the headlights miss. Great at slower speeds and for bad roads. I think they were worth the money for our GS/RS...and if I hadn't bought an RT-S that already had them, I would have added them to that one, too.

I agree

Would it be worth the extra $$$ to add a HID kit to the fog light? I did buy the HID kit for the regular headlights from custom dymanics.

IMO, if you have the HID headlights you don't need the foglights at all. On the other hand, if you do have the foglights and HID headlights, the foglights will do very little unless you upgrade to HID.

I am thinking of getting a HID kit for the fog light that I will install sometime before the riding season starts, I do not think that adding a HID kit to my headlight will help as I have a yellow tint cover over them and I think the HID on the headlight will not make much of a difference that is why I am thinking of the fog light kit.

Thanks for the info, I think I'll go ahead and get them. One last question though, becouse my HID kit for my regular lights is not a BRP kit, do I need the extra $100 cable?
Thanks Again, Bob

I believe you do if you have both HID headlights and foglights, otherwise there are not enough connectors, at least with the BRP and ESI HID headlights. Not sure about any other kit. I'd ask ESI or Custom Dynamics if you have that kit.

Does anyone know if the fog lights come with the LED accent lights?

The fog lights and the LED accent lights are separate accessories for the RT series. Both are available on the RT and the RT Audio & Convenience models as an accessory addition, they are both included on the RT-S model.
