I have been talking with my fellow riders here in Southern California about doing a Spring Weekend Overnighter. As it turns out, I have gotten a very positive response. I suggested we do something a little different and ride a little farther. This is what we have come up with.

When: April 29th – May 2nd (Thursday through Sunday)
Where: Carson Valley (City) Nevada

“CVRider” a member of this forum, a local of the area, has offered to help me out with the planning and details. I must say he is an excellent communicator. I am looking forward to meeting him in person.

Right now, this is not being planned, as any kind of rally. It is just being planned as a bunch of good people, getting together to have a good time.

Let me just say this about the Carson Valley. It is a very, unique area with lots of History, Lots to see and do. We have already come up with a couple of rides, and we are working on more.

This would be a great opportunity for “NEW RT OWNERS” to test out their Spyders on an actual tour weekend.

There is a Spyder dealer in the Area, So parts and service should not be a problem. However, I have not contacted the dealer yet.

Anyway. I thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone else would be interested in attending.

With more people in attendance, we may be able to get Group Discounts at one of the local hotels.

I will post on the BRP site once we get more of the details worked out.

Thanks

I can't see any reason why we couldn't also come, but we would join up somewhere in the middle as we are up here in NorCal. Keep me updated.

Gotta change my plans for May 1! I will be coming from the SF mid-peninsula so if there are others that want to trek the mountains from this area I'd love to ride with you.

The Carson Valley Inn is a very popular and nice hotel/casino in Minden. Might want to check it out early on.

Thanks for all the prep, and let me know if I can help. MM

Motorcyclemama, hit me up and we'll catch the group together. We live in Pittsburg. I'm still in for this. I need to subscribe to this thread though so I don't forget about it. :)

And we won't be able to leave until early Saturday morning for this so it would just be an over-nighter for us... no vacation time left. :(

Howdy SpyderGirl! Thanks for the invite. I might leave early Thurs. or Fri. Don't know yet. I know some folks in the area. I'm also waiting for Tony's agenda and accoms. If we don't ride up together, I'm sure there will be plenty of other opportunities. Let's keep in touch. :) MM

Well I sure hope we can make part of this run with the group, having no vacation time and working full time makes it difficult. We're going to try though. :)

Well it took some time. I finally found a Hotel in the area.
It sounds like a nice comfortable place. Here are the Details:

Hotel: Hardman House
Address: 917 N. Carson St., Carson City, NV 89701
Phone: (775) 882-7744
Group Code: 2608 (for a discount) or mention West Coast Spyders
Rate: $69.00 per night.

Website:
http://hardmanhouseinn.com/index/html (Under construcion, not alot of info)

To make reservations call: (775) 882-7744

I made my reservations, and have blocked out 20 rooms.
We can increase as needed.
They recommended making reservations early,
Its the begining of the busy season
.

Note: This is the only Hotel I could find with UnderGround Parking.
That is a major plus for worried Spyder owners.

Meet and Greet is Set up:

Where: Red's Old 395 Grill
1055 S. Carson Street
Carson City, NV 89701
http://www.reds395.com
