Steve Allan from Florida won Best Customized Spyder and a $500 Gift Certificate donated by ISCI.
I was not on the Selection Committee, but I am told Steve's Spyder had a lot of Chrome work in addition to the custom paint

i know the pict itself was offending to some but custom means . out standing and the chrome and anodized parts of this spyder were outstanding .and the murual as offending to some was top quality work

Did I miss something or did you have to be in attendance at the BBQ on Friday to get these prizes?? My husband and I rode all the way from San Francisco... we traveled 6200 miles round trip to attend this event... Anyway.... we just arrived home tonight after 4 1/2 days on the road. We had to leave Gatlinburg early (Thursday morning) to be able to get back home in time to go back to work. We had a great time while we were there but are a little bummed that we missed out on being recognized for our long journey.
It was great to meet you all either way.... now I'm wiped... time to relax......

Yes, tjfischer had over 4800 traveled to get to Spyders in the Smokies 2009...and yes, the awards were given out real-time at the awards ceremony. It would have been impossible to gather information from everyone during the week, so we did everything at the Awards Ceremony (as in everyone stand-up if you traveled more than 1000 miles, stay standing if you traveled more than 2000, etc).

Really? Who was that? 4000 miles by Spyder? They should have been recognized.

It could have been calculated based from the owner's home to the event location... I don't even really care about the awards, I just wanted to be recognized.
