Considering that there were 138 registered Spyders and 160 members/attendees , if you have a solution that will accommodate all of the scheduling conflicts with work, travel, last minute decisions to attend, and so on .........I'm sure the planing committee for next year will appreciate your solution.
As for the awards.....not sure why receiving one of the few awards would make one more remembered for attending than say doing rides, dinners, and such with old and new friends.
sorry, but i was the biggest winner last yr and this yr . 160 folks fufilled a dream and idea of mine this yr. i met and hugged old friends from last yr and met so many new friends this yr that i am allready excited about seeing again in 2010 . and meeting more new people, that come from all walks of life just to meet ,ride and have a good time . thats what spyders in the smokies mission is and always will be

Interests:My interests are motorcycle riding and photography. check out my website. I've been riding bikes for about 45 years. I've been all over this country on a bike. My last ride was a Harley Ultra Classic. Then I drove a Spyder and that changed a lot. It made me smile.

I know it seemed that I never left the Red Roof Inn Hotel but I did and I accomplished what I wanted to do. First of all I wanted to ride to Tenn. by myself. I usually ride with a bunch of guys all over the country. But, this time, I wanted to go by myself. This way I could pull over when I wanted to after 50 miles, 100 miles or run the tank as they say. Secondly, I wanted to do the "Dragon's Tail". I accomplished both on this trip. Not to mention meeting a lot of really nice people. The event was run very well. The only think I would add would be getting some Spyder vendors down there to wet our lips. I was hoping to have someone install some lights and things. Anyway, Kudos to Marc and the gang for a job well done. See ya' next year.

Marc,
Never been to your rally but if it is not on 2nd or 3rd weekend then I'd be happy to offer my help hands. I have done my own motorcycle rally on my campground in Eastern NC for 6 years going 7th in 2010 so I have some experiences and am more than willing to offer my help. Just PM me and see what I can do for you. I'd be happy to send you a link of my website by PM since it is probably inappropriate to post on here.

I know I am late as usual. I do not do a lot on the computer. I agree with most of things to improve the Rally or should say make a wonderful Rally even better, If possible.
Smaller groups would be a good thing. Maybe make use of Ride Captains from other MC groups, GWRRA, HOG, Star and so on. With GPS units, maybe even people not from there could be leads. I observed many CB. How about a common channel for The Rally ? Ask in each groups who has knowledge of first aid or "incident control". please let of know if you have a medical condistion that might cause concerns.
rides: When people sign up for rides, ask if they would be willing to help and how. As a Example, I am a Road Captian in GWRRA and would be wiling to ride Tail, but not lead. I have a CB. Groups should have a "Call Sign". Direction can get kind of confusing otherwise. Size of the rides. Head tail should be listed. As riders get to check point, sign them up for groups. Non signed up riders go on a waiting list. When you run out of Heads/Tails, no more riders. I think most riders would agree with this.
Anyway, I had a great time, missing BBQ, my doings and attempt to come next year. At 74, I do not plan way ahead.
Ride Safe and have FUN

I almost forgot one more thing. I was at a PGR mission. Another PGR member said, he had a friend in Gatlinburg, when we were there. The friend said, thee 3 or 4 thousand Spyders running around.

Well it would be nice if there were that many Spyder owners in attendance, the actual number was more in the range of 100 - 120.
