I bought that PIAA steering mounted light setup. Kinda pricey, but unique at the same time... Nobody is going to miss me coming down the road!

I saw that setup. It looked very cool! I thought they were Motolights, not Piaa, though... :TgC_emoticon142:

I missed the exhibit and can't find the lights on the Heli website. Can you tell me more about the lights, maybe the price and possibly post a picture.
Thanks
Dick

Thanks Jennifer. A quick look at the website confirms what I said in my post yesterday. These are Motolights (a very fine product, by the way) and not Piaa lights.

I had the Helibars installed at the event...love them. The ride home was much more comfortable than the one to Gatlinburg. I also bought the lights and hope to install them this weekend. Everyone there did a great job....they all deserve a big bonus...lol.

After the ride home I decided that I really should have had the risers installed while we were there... I think I am going to go with the NMN risers however, but I really do like the HeliBars too and they are very nice people and it's a very nice product for sure. :)

Here are the Motolights...They are a bit pricey in my opinion, but I spend on safety first, comfort second, and doo-dads last... So the lights won last Wednesday versus the Helibar setup.

Don't mind the messy garage... Still have half the house torn apart for the remodel.

Here is a pic of the mounting. I do not get any shine back from the light that is shown on the rim.

With them off. (switch is mounted up on handlebars.)

Very happy with them. I now look like a aircraft taking off or landing, and at slow speed at night, with these lights turning with the wheels, they do make a difference in sharp turns. At speed, they throw a little more light low, and wider than the fogs. The motolight site sells new lenses, amber bulbs ( I might try), gaskets, and the 50watt bulbs that will work in these. They come with the 35watt.

Maurice did a good job installing these, even though I was watching over his shoulder for part of the install.

I like those motoLights. I talked to Maurice quite a bit. He is really a nice guy. He impressed me with his knowledge of the Spyder and the aspects of devoleping custom products. It turns out we have simular backgrounds.

I have put these on my wish list.
