Here in the Pacific Northwest we get a lot of rain. I try not to ride in it, but frequently get caught in a unforecasted shower.
I tried this stuff on my last trip to Eastern Washington, and I can provide first-hand testimony that THIS STUFF WORKS.
RAIN-X is good for glass, but does not work for visors. This is the opposite - this stuff works on visors and plastics, but not on glass.
It's call RAINCOAT. More information is at:
http://www.motosolut...m/raincoat.html
Here's a demo of how well it works on your visor:
Cost is about a buck a pack - money well spent in my book. And the super-slippery film on your visor makes bug splats and residue easier to clean off.

well I just tested the raincoat in a heavy downpour right now. I went out just to test the product and this stuff really works. All the spray and rain drops were rolling right off making it very easy to see in heavy rain. I used one packet that spread a thin layer all over the shield, wiped off when dry. This product will certainly be very useful for people going on a long rides and for that matter anytime you are in the rain.

Full disclosure: I make Raincoat Water Repellent.
I saw a lot of traffic from this review so thought I would sign up. Do you mind if I post this review on my website? May I put down your City/Country?
Raincoat is fairly new, so if you have any input, it would be appreciated.
My neighbor has a Can Am but so far I am riding a BMW.
