I am currently looking for a Spyder and trying to decide on the color, personally my favorite is the red but others have suggested the yellow since it is more noticeable/safe. I am curious what others out have/like as well as if there is any feedback on color affecting safety. :riding:

Silver is a good choice if you want to use a custom candy color. It provides a good base...

I chose Yellow because it was the best colour as far as I was concerned. Nothing to do with safety.

I avoided Red because they are flat colours and Red tends to bloom to easily.

Black would have been a good choice but as both my motorcycles are black, I thought I'd have a change.

I have red. My truck, snowmobile and ATV are all red, so I figured I'd go with the matching color.

The red is nice, but just doesn't "do it" for me. The silver ones and the black ones are invisible. They blend in with other things around them. As far as I am concerned, YELLOW is the only way to go. I currently own two (2) of them and have ordered a third yellow. I like it the best--it just happens to be a safer color. It also reminds me of my 1971 Ski-Doo I got when I was a teenager (and still have!). The more visible we can be out there with other people not paying attention, the better off we are!!! :riding:

Love the yellow, which is what we have. If the red was a little brighter it would have been a tough choice.
Never stop questioning. (Happy Spyder owner)

I don't have the spyder yet either, but I'm changing y vote from last time the color question came up (no I did not actually vote this time since I don't own yet and likely won't till next year).

Originally, I wanted silver (silver for all the custom paint I had in mind serving as a nice base), then red... Red I thought looked bad &#@, but colorful. Not "jolly yellow" (I normally hate yellow anything).

Now, after many months of staring at all the color options on my desktop backgrounds, the yellow is the one that has won the test of time, and is the only color I display.

I like the way the yellow and black run together, especially from the side and give the Spyder a much more agressive and noticeable look. It reminds me of a killer bee or something.

Also since so many accidents are caused by not being seen... I want to be seen... If I could I would have a strobe light on the top of my helmet just to be sure I would be seen... A yellow one... LOL

All I can say is have fun and be safe. I don't think it matters what color you have. Just the uniqueness of the Spyder is a head turner. Bella Rose (Rosie) is yellow with a hint of metalic, and I can tell you that I had a realtime swerving experience with her one morning. Car driver was making a left turn across a four lane and stopped just in the middle of the two lanes that I was driving. I had to swerve between the car and the center divide. Don't have to practice the swerving exercises in the BRP manual now. :P . I can tell you that the brakes performed magnificently and Rosie swerved like a charm. I had a white jacket and my yellow full face helmet on, too. So, go figure. Yellow was not a stopper. MM

I agree that yellow probably provides the highest visibility for the Spyder, and was my first choice until BRP released Roadster Red, which I immediately fell in love with.
I have never had an issue with other road users not noticing my red Spyder. These vehicles are still so rare and unusual in appearance that they draw attention like a magnet, no matter what colour they are, IMHO.

Killerbee has a yellow SM5 and I have a red SE5. Heard that we're known as "mustard and ketchup" when passing by.

I bought a silver but got it custom painted by Badbaran last winter. It is stars and stripes. My Spyder was born in Canada but raised in the USA!!! Can't wait to see all of the cool Spyders at Ingles Open house on Saturday. Hopefully there will be good weather. I haven't been able to make to any Spyder events this year so the 75 miles drive should be awesome!!!!!! Everett

I chose yellow so that it would be noticable BUT anyway I have been rear ended twice. Only slight damage. One of the times the girl driver told me she had the right to pass me. Arthur---Mexico City
