I would like to think it is better but I cannot say I feel any difference at all - not that I felt anything was wrong anyway.

both myself and my girlfriend had the updates on friday......

i am unsure if i like the change as it felt very light as opposed to the muscling i have gotten use to.......it made me feel a little uneasy riding through the twisties.....20k riding the old way but hopefully in time i will learn to ride the new way.......as for our friend she and her daughter are now in hospital both in intensive care......basic reports are the bike did not turn and went air born over the cliff...wont know more until investigations are finished.......and the riders are able to give some more details........

will keep you updated.....hopefully it has nothing to do with the update done 2 days ago

For me, I noticed the following:
Steering: Much easier to set up and hold a line in a corner (particulary when it's bumpy). I can even change lines mid corner, due to quicker steering response (involved a lot of effect before).
(I have no risers fitted)

Shifting gears is much smoother (still don't know how they achieved this with software).

Engine: runs smoother (power delivery is more linear now), no pops when I throttle back through the gears & runs cooler.
(Motad Venom exhaust fitted with DB killer & high flow air filter)

Seems so many people are having different experiences with the same update.

Having said this I noticed yesterday lots' of popping on decel has started and engine isn't dropping back to idle straight away (not sure if this is due to update or not).

Very concerned about the accident Incy's friend had after the update.

I did not notice any difference however, I've had two episodes of locking since the update :wall:

Mmm......patch done in hervey bay. Rode home to Miriam vale..... Same uneasy feeling incy spoke of. Was left wondering if I had done the right thing. just felt lighter and less "solid". Will wait another 10000k before I decide 4 sure. Incy - wishes to ur friend and their daughter.

Had my update done yesterday @ Springwood Suzuki. I haven't been riding Spyder much of late, but this update makes it feel horrible to ride in my opinion. To me it feels like everything is overassisted. It's literally like riding a jetski. Before the steering would get heavier as I loaded it up around corners which was brilliant from a feel perspective. I almost fell off the thing yesterday as it's WAAAY too sensitive. Just no feeling there anymore, too electronic. Just my opinion, but I will be contacting BRP.

Hope your friend is ok Incy.

This is really strange. I can feel virtually no difference since the update. My steering is not overly light at all - its as it was before as above " the steering would get heavier as I loaded it up around corners "

How come we are getting these variances between Spyders???

I wonder if the Spyder that had the crash was feeling light or unchanged after the update?? :TgC_emoticon142:

My theory on the differences of the results of the update is that everyone's steering wasn't working the same BEFORE the update.

My service tech told me yesterday when I went to get my whole steering unit replaced, (i was one that had a complete failure after the update), that they had numerous customers who's DPS hadn't been working at all before the update and they didn't even realize it.
