Sport/Touring Windshield HELP!!!!!!! Installation MayDay, SOS, HELP

I purchased a Can Am Sport/Touring Windshield for my Spyder online through a recognized Can Am parts store. After I received it via UPS I read the install instructions and then inventoried the parts that came in the box. The contents included the windshield and 4 M6 Torx bolts with the nylon patches on them. However I did not receive the 4 M6 plastic flat washers. When I spoke with the store that the washers were not included I was told the washers were not part of the install kit and I could go to any hardware store and get washers. Needless to say this angered me. I told the store that the windshield appeared to have bushing (see photos) and washer (see photos again) between each bolt and the windshield to act as a buffer when tightening the bolts so as not to crack the windshield when tightening the bolts. However, the store says they are not aware of any bushings and nor was BRP aware of them. The store Rep said all was necessary was to correctly position the windshield on the motocycle, put a washer on the bolt and then screw it into the appropriate hole. However, I feel the bushing (or whatever the piece is (see photos one more time) under the washer) was considered a necessity by BRP or it would not be there. So it there anyone out there that has changed their windshield that can shed some light on this? What else do I need besides the windshield and the bolts?

You don't need anything else. Ive had mine on and off several times in 12K miles and all I have are the windshield and the bolts. Mine is an early model and I suppose there may be modifications to later models that I am not aware of.

I agree with the other post: You dont need anything else. I have had mine on and off a lot and also my sister has a Spyder and I have had hers on and off. I have over 20,000 miles with the new windscreen
no problems at all.

I know the feeling when you feel that a kit of some kind doesn't come complete. If you need washers for your windshield and you live in a city that has industry I'm sure there will businesses that specialize in screws and bolts of all sizes and types. They will also have STAINLESS STEEL washers for 6 mm or 1/4" screws. The cure is simple and very low cost. Don't sweat it. Stainless steel screws and washers don't rust and spot up the paint on your Spy.
