I went to the dealer for the steering recall work and bought a spare relay while I was there. I've tried opening the fuse box in the front area but cannot get the cover off. The dealer is 140 km away and I'm not going back to ask them. Can anyone here give me a heads-up?

Thanks,
Rod.

The CanAm Highway goes from Texas along U.S. Route 85 and Interstate 25 into Saskatchewan, Canada. The CanAm highway in Canada is Saskatchewan highways SK 35, SK 39, SK 6, SK 3, and SK 2. <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CanAm_Highway>

Solved with a little help from my friends (at SpyderLovers). Just got to push in to tabs in the front and rear. Couldn't be easier... ;-)

Just remember when you put it back on to listen for two "clicks" otherwise it isn't latched. :)

Yesterday I opened the fuse box for the first time (new 2009 SE5, only rode it for 500 miles).

After checking fuses and relays for good seating / connectivity, I realized that the box cover already has a 1/8" foam backing and mine has neat recessed marks where the relays were touching it.

Wonder if this is BRP's method for correcting common problem, or I still have to add more padding to secure the relays in place.

Timely answers will be appreciated.

Saludos, Pilo

Yes that was a change from 08 to 09 but I understand some late 08's got it too. Seems to be enough to avoid the "loose fuse" problems that use to be a common occurence in early Spyders. (They did the same with the relay box)

Not sure about when BRP started putting foam in the fuse/relay box lid. Mine was built April 2008 and it has the foam.
