Being as I seem to be the only Spyder rider in the south of the state I thought it was about time to arrange a ride to meet up with some of you riders up north. So how about it.
Mayby we can meet up in Cambell Town or somewhere like that.
If anyone is interested, let me know so we can make it happen. :beerchug1:

Hi Andrew,
Yes , would love to meet up sometime. Do you want to wait till the weather warms up a bit. I'm easy either way. I see you have noticed that this forum (and the other Aussie one) are a bit quiet. I don't believe they're all to busy riding. Don't forget we will get together when your service is due. Any idea when that will be? Oh and I put my NMN risers on recently. Haven't had a chance to give them a good workout yet,
Bob

Hi Bob,

Its good to hear from you. We will catch up most definitely :beerchug1:
Got a quote for my first service and they said $550 :(
I picked up a workshop manual on Ebay for less than $20, its all in there so I am doing my own service work at the moment. What are your first impressions of the risers and where did you get them from.
I am seriously thinking about a set. It would be great to catch up and check out yours.
I'll keep an eye on the weather and give you a call, we might be able to meet up in the next few weekends.

First impressions of the risers are good, but as I said I haven't had a chance to give them a good workout yet. They move the bars back towards the rider plus raise them, allowing you to steer with your arms bent, not stiff ( I'm not all that tall). Drop Martin an e-mail, martin@spyderryders.net.au he had some shipped over a few weeks ago, and might be able to fix you up.

OK Bob lets get the wheels rolling.
How does this sound. We meet at Campbell Town say around 9:00am.
Head to Bicheno for lunch. Up to St Marys and back to Campbell Town via Fingal.
224km round trip from Campbell Town to Campbell Town. It will give you a chance to test out the new risers and me a chance to meet up with you guys. How does Sunday 28 June sound (weather permitting, if it looks like crap we can pull the pin and reschedule)
If its a bit to far let me know and we can adjust to suit. I'm open to any suggestions.
I have emailed Martin and will make a decision after I see your risers. :)

My ref to wtwing15 was aimed at peterau. Didn't make myself clear.

Hi Andrew, Have you seen the references to the Canam Spyder Roadster Demo Tour. They are coming to Tassie sometime in Oct/Nov.
I was having a chat to Jannelle at Lingers to see if we can organise a Spyder weekend to coincide with the Hobart Demo's. There is also a demo weekend in Launceston the weekend before, I think. Check out the website http://www.spyderexperience.com/
Would be good if we can get all the Tassie Spyders down there.

Yeah I did hear about it. I've got a few mates that are going to sign up for it.
Get as many as you can down here and I can show you some nice local rides :riding:
